I know this was discussed somewhere but I can't seem to find it, on older versions only "Gold" could be used to buy land or stuff from an npc(ie if you had notes worth 1k and tried to buy land you got the message saying you didn't have the gold to buy it).  I know a lot of the hardcoded stuff was changed/recoded, and I'm currently working on some ini files, so I was wondering if "Gold" was 1 of the changes or if it is still the only usable source of money in the game.

It's the only source of money to buy items it is hardcoded that way.
