Makes sense that they would take and use it since it was on surface probably.

I knew meteoric iron was used for a long time before medieval smelting methods were discovered...but I didn't know it went that far back.  the heat from entering the atmosphere hardened the iron which is something that is actually hard to do in a wood fired forge, but I don't think Tut's dagger will ever be as famous as the sword of mars(Attila the Huns sword).
