What major feature to focus on?

Not sure what to work on next. Was leaning toward NPCs.

I had trouble deciding between magic and alchemy, so I voted player images.  would be nice if everyone didn't look the same :P

Core gameplay first, add fluff later.

Fluff as in player images, biome improvement, quests, fishing hunting, events.

Wouldn't consider website/marketing until the game is further along.

I would rather see a well running v6 with no content then a buggy one with lots of content.
Asylum - lvl 33 Thrower
Pyramid - lvl 40 Scythe
Dementia - lvl 69 Spear
Nexus V2 - lvl 61 Stealth
Rebirth - lvl 72 Bow
Ganymede - lvl 56 Mage
Hex - lvl 1000 Admin
Future - lvl 1000 Admin
Retired - Unless V6 pulls a miracle

OK, so, Ranged Weapons are pretty much done. Just loose ends and minor refinements remain which generally come as more people test and comment. Just Bows for now. Xbow and Throwing will come later.

I want to focus on NPCs next but I feel I need to get the story and players arrival to continent settled otherwise I will be double coding NPCs. Plus not sure what you are expecting for NPCs. The V1/V2 way I am avoiding since it is static and admin controlled. Looking for player control and NPC self-controlled in V6. I want to do the whole player built towns as well and that is tied into NPCs of course.

I think magic as we need a way to keep our stats up so we can keep fighting instead of having to wait a whole minute after 2 monsters for regen.

I'm still having trouble deciding between magic and alchemy, so this time I'm going to say Tames!  nothing really huge, but would be nice to be able to breed draught/pack animals to make some things easier/simpler/better/the old way.  hooking up a team of oxen to a cart and letting them pull it where you need it instead of having to carry everything...or is it just me that can only pick up 1 limestone at a time when mining?

I voted for magic. But, I was really just looking for more mechanical objects. Like, warp stones, lifestone, portals, traps, poison clouds, stuff that cause Stamina Dmg, etc.

Edit:
Pathing stone that speeds movement speed, barrier player can walk on but npc can't. Lighting and Fog.

When you say fog, you mean Line Of Sight restrictions that V1/V2 has, like walls block seeing beyond. Or do you mean real fog? But yeah, LOS and lighting is overdue, just need to get some basic light source in game, like torch and stuff.

read that and my mind immediately jumped to weather systems in game...but I have a feeling you'd make it kill people: wearing a lot of armor in a thunderstorm and getting struck by lightning!

since I'm talking about armor, I think swim skill should be affected by how much/what type of armor you're wearing.  seeing a guy in full plate armor swimming is 1 of those things that always seemed wrong to me.  I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to swim while wearing armor, just that you should be far more likely to drown while trying it.

is that a list of everything you are looking to impliment or just a short list? as a full list would be good so we can see fully what your aim is for the final game

It was just a list of what popped into my head at the time, some major, some not so major features. At this point, having a good base game, it is difficult to choose what to implement next. So hearing from veteran players helps guide me and gives you input.

Basically, I am implementing everything V2 has but making them better or more modernized. And adding stuff I never got to, like the Guild tab. And then new stuff like biomes, simulation, gods/prayers and town building.

tried to resist making this post, but: you know you were the only person who voted for ranged weapons in that poll, and it was added while nothing else in the list has been...so are we really giving input?  seems magic won when you first posted this, and even though that wasn't my vote I think I would have rather seen that than bows.

I think the things I've seen people ask for most are ways to regain stam(magic or potions), ways to store items(containers or mules), and cosmetic stuff(which should all wait til later).  give us what we want Mickey! :P

I voted for NPCs and was gonna work on them but saw Roarion's post about "core features" and I knew that ranged weapons would be good to add because it has base parts that are shared like ammo and missile animation.

Magic is a huge project and whatever bits and pieces I can get done before actually starting it will make it much easier to implement.

Line of Sight I got added which is similar to Light and several did ask for LOS. With LOS in, Light will be easier to do as well.

Working on containers now, that a lot have asked for. It looks to be a medium sized project with lots of room for messing things up.

And NPCs won the vote. Magic got more votes after the poll officially ended.

And what name you using in world? Cuz I need some one's land to throw my garbage.

I like the menus for crafting better than the current one which is confusing sometimes without a usage,

I'm PrettyPrettyPrincess, and I decided not to get land this time...seems the last couple times I bought land you made a big update and wiped the world :P

also no jokes about the name, I thought it was funny so I'm using it!

and yay containers!

Good to hear. I want to make the buttons bigger, showing more, like "tool" + "focus" = "result" images.

Also, want to look for and show reverse usages, like now when you select an item, it shows all usages where it is the focus. I want it to also show usages where it is the tool. Usages where there is no clear tool/focus items would be helpful like making arrow shafts, combining feathers and wood shafts.
