Scidhuv hacked an admin account on Liberty world and proceeded to destroy it. The same with normal accounts on Lunatik. I am not sure if Liberty will need a wipe or if I should revert to a backup copy(1 day old).Looks like Scidhuv has went back on his apology and broke his promise to me to not hack RPGWO anymore. Just so you know, I am persuing legal action against him and his legal gaurdians. He stated he stopped to protect his "pilot" career, well, kiss your career goodbye!

What ever came of this? Were there legit reason to pursue legal actions? Or was everything just kind of thrown under the table?

I highly doubt legally he could pursue it.

The admin account in question was probably attained through legal methods.

Laws regarding hacking vary by state but in general they need to use a unauthorized mechanism.

If the Admin was duped into revealing his password, no laws current or future consider social engineering illegal.(Impersonating businesses or people could make it Fraud)
If the user then used the Admins account to perform commands in the game using authorized mechanisms he broke no law.
Still there is the burden of proof, Since RPGWO logs are not common I.T. study, only the person filing charges(mickey) could be a technical witness.

Also, Let's not forget how lazy mickey is.

Nope, I do know your lazy Game Development/management style though.

I highly doubt you did all the work required to file charges, feel free to correct me If I am wrong.

Well, in response to the first reply here... I will never forget the day the 1.15 server was illegally released to the public (or at least clearly without the owners consent) by scid. There was a huge uproar on whether or not these server exe files were tainted, and mickey eventually released the server himself.
There were also encounters of password logs obtained by scid and then were used by tons of members to ruin people s'  accounts  & jack their stuff . It was by no means a little issue to shrug off during that time. I was just curious if you got him to go away, or what.

Question:

Why in the bloody hell are we beating a dead horse to pulp? Scid got chased away. Alexander you really ought to look into some tact lessons and possibly some common sense enhancements. do you really, honestly believe mickey is lazy irl because he isnt neckbearding it up at his computer 24/7 updating the game? People do have lives, bro. just because he isnt around enough does not imply he is lazy irl.
