hmm game keeps crashing when starting up with this error message

Failed to save image 0 - image does not exist at line 2916 in gameplay.agc

then the client closes

It was doing similar to me trying to get in. I think all the insects blew it up. Got that bug fixed but created a new world and wiped players and removed /item and changed mining to be skill based and not time based. Also changed plants and got them to grow in patches.

Getting this one again o.0 not sure why.  went to go up and make some mortar and it kept disconnecting me on the ladder. now I get this message again when trying to log in.

The chat system seems to be really really hard to use. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I'm very much used to being able to copy paste, select, open the chat window in some way other than clicking the button on the bottom left

I'll need to check the network bandwidth usage. When you send too much, it breaks for some reason.

I plan to redo the chat interface. Also the TAB key opens up chat.

wouldn't it be simpler to have it use the enter key?  thought I'd prefer an option to not have it close when you type something...it gets annoying having to open it steadilly. 

I'll test more soon hopefully, busy week :(

mine failed skillroll needed >=20

my mining skill = 20

think it has to be greater than 20 even when it says greater than or equal 20

edit: I'm at 21 now and getting the same message...

can't build a furnace on unowned land(think I read someone post that somewhere but can't find it now) and it takes 100 money to claim land, and I have no clue how I'd go about getting any money if I can't make a furnace to smelt ore into coins :-\

SkillRoll not SkillValue.
SkillRoll = Random value from SkillValue/2 to SkillValue, so 50% to 100% of your skill.

I just went on with my non-admin player and was able to make one on unclaimed land, underground and above ground.

Can you give me the exact spot you tried?

when you select medium bronze bar with 2 heated small bronze bars and a bronze pick in your inventory you keep the 2 heated bars and your pick turns into a medium bar.  allows you to take apart a pick near breaking and remake it...

there is also a glitch with metal working where if you have both items you're working in inventory(2 heated bronze bars for example) you do the first step of the work then it stops, but if you have 1 in inventory and 1 on the ground you do the whole process.

also large bronze bar...useless item?

when making bricks if the stone is on the ground you get 1 stack of 4 and a single beick on the side, if done in inventory you only get the 4

I checked and yes this is by design. The "Auto-Usage-Find" works off of what you have selected. Map items selected have priority. When you selected the heated furnace, it found the Bronze Pick was the only usage and it gives a medium bar so it showed it and melts down the pick if selected. If you had selected one of the heated bars after both were heated, it finds you can combine them to get the medium bar and shows that which is same as a pick on a furnace. It is confusing but the reason the auto-button is long is I want to add the original item to it like "Old => New" so it is clearer.

All metal items are re-smeltable back to a bar, even when they break and turn into "Broken Bronze Item" or whatever. So there is no loss of any metal.

There is a technical issue that keeps auto-usage going for ground items but for inventory items, it only does it once. It on my list to fix someday. I think I set the usage to have no time limit for now so you can click it as fast as you want.

also large bronze bar...useless item?

No use for large bars yet. They will be for making armor, shields and large solid metal weapons/items like swords. Axe and mace heads, for example, just need a medium bar plus a wood branch for the handle. Spear heads and daggers would require a small bar. That is the basic idea behind the different size bars. I guess someone wanting to make a sword versus a spear would get screwed then since they need 3 ores instead of 1. Maybe I can offset this with lower quality/life on the spear items since the wood would wear out faster.

Sounds normal. Luck governs if you get extra items from some usages like carving out bricks or picking apples. So that probably why you got 5 total in one usage and 4 in the other. The thing with adding items to inventory, is auto-stacking. The auto-stacking also applies to doing usage in inventory, at times.
Technically, the usage first changes the focus item to the success item then does a separate adding of success items afterward and that where Luck comes in since that can have a quantity > 1. When it adds the success items, auto-stacking comes into affect.

Is luck strictly RNG/PRNG or is it modified by something like int/wis?

Luck is a stand-alone attribute and it doesn't raise when you level like the others. It is static forever but I'll probably add potions/spells to boost it eventually.

The way it works is each usage has a Luck factor. For making bricks it is 10.
ExtraCount = Random 0 to (YourLuck / LuckFactor)
So, if you have 20 Luck, then you can get 0 to 2 more bricks.

Any thoughts on having luck slightly tied to a vitae-esque system or a postdeath debuff? Like you get slightly reduced materials (-2 to -1 mod) or something?

Well, I am still figuring out what happens at death.

Morale: would be like vitae penalty but is general mood of player, governed by external and internal factors. It could be positive or negative, thus giving a boost or penalty to skills. Death would affect it negative a lot. But doing positive things would move it up. It would not be XP based like Vitae. Eating "comfort" food would boost it thus giving value to cooking skill. Talking to NPCs could boost it. Getting hurt could lower it. In general, morale would slowly move to zero, whether it was positive or negative.

Level Penalty: A much more extreme penalty would be on death to loose an entire level, including all XP earned in skills. Each time you level, I would record all your stats/skills and would use those to reset your player back. Players would then really be careful about dying and avoidance.

Right now, the only penalty is dropping everything and getting warped away.

A lot of time I would see players in V1/V2 just run into traps and monster groups not worried about loosing a few items and some vitae, so I think if I did these changes people would actually fear death.

Can you copy the .apk file to the kindle?
What happens when you tap/click the .APK file to install it?
Did you set your kindle to allow manual install of apps?
Where you drunk/high when you attempted this?
Do you live in your parents basement?
Do you have a blow up doll or does your "girlfriend" live in another state?

when I read that line(before getting to the rest) I thought you were serious...and it reminded me of the time I tried to change my oil while high, forgot to put the pluggy thing back in and wasted like 2 quarts.

i click on it and it tells me no apps can perform this action, i don't know about setting the kindle to manual install(i don't see the option anywhere). it allows me to open it as a word doc excel workbook or a power point presentation. i don't have these things installed on my kindle so i couldn't try that if i wanted.
yes the .apk file is copied to the kindle, probable high when i tried probable still high now. i let my wife try because shes sober (party pooper) still didn't work.
