Updated V5: GUI and strategic map and old updates

Septempber 20, 2013

- right mouse click for goto
- GUI changed in stats and carry windows, think I got
  all the GUI changed/updated to new look, still refining
- when disconnected, client will auto reconnect
- added map GUI, saves them too


Septempber 13, 2013

- working on the GUI, trying different things out
- added burden limits, still need to display it,
  basically 1 pound/kg is 10 burden, plus I add more
  if the item has odd/big size, MAX is Strength * 20
  so the average STR = 25 gives 500 burden or 50 pounds,
  probably need to double it though, we'll see
- added Loken to water
- can get logs from trees with stone axe
- carcasses will now decay/degrade
- added item spawning items, like marsh grass spawns
  flying insects and some flowers spawn butterflies
- animated static items like flying insects swarm
- have fast and normal degrade settings for items
  - fast happens like V1/V2 every 20 seconds for items
    like torches and water puddles
  - normal happens once per v-day for items like
    carcasses and food, one v-day is about 1.5 real hours
- added run skill, it gives chance to not use stamina


September 6, 2013

- using a fixed 1280 x 800 resolution, not sure what
  the launcher will do if you pick a different res
- redid the viewable map area to be 40 x 25
- optimized the map data packets so lag should go down
- still some delay in there but want to let this dust
  settle before I try another idea to help
- added making of stone axe and stone shovel but no
  use for them in game yet


I am thinking about dropping the Fantasy sandbox theme and instead doing the Modern theme we discussed months ago when I was doing V4. Don't know.
Suggestions?

stop confusing me on dates :P

I think the reason most games are fantasy/castle age is because in a modern era you'd expect lots of people and huge buildings and technology to do the simple grindy stuff...that said how about something futuristic?  think of a ship crash landing on an alien planet, you'd have some understanding of modern technology(and maybe a few advances), but you would still have to do all the grindy stuff.
why does Fox keep cancelling good shows?

Gaaaaaah! Now I am all thinking about doing it futuristic, Galactic Venture Online, type game!
I'll do a seperate post to discuss this option.
