V5 Alpha Client Released

First Alpha of RPGW0 V5 Client

- chat works, TAB is shortcut key or click lower left icon
- combat works, click a target (anything on map) and the sword icon should show up in upper left, click it to begin attack, just unarmed skill
- gaurd mode semi works, the shield mode will attack anything that attacks you
- movement by single click on empty spot or double click if item at spot, also keypad works and QWEADZXC keys
- walk and run mode, run uses stamina, click upper right to change mode
- smooth walking is choppy. Still figuring it out and trying stuff to smoothen it cuz of latency
- launcher.exe allows resolution selection
- no monsters
- no usage

Was dealing with a major packet data loss issue that almost stopped this project. Found out the client can't handle tons of data all at once over the web. I slowed down packet sending to fix for now. So let me know of any issues.

It is a win32 app that uses OpenGL. Sooo... what are you doing to run it or what errors you getting?

I get an instant crash upon login with something about Disconnected! and lastpos. And yeah unfortuantely run in the winehq broken with Arch and Exherbo

Yeah I guess that's what I was referring to. You can also continue to run when you're out of stamina but then when you go back to walking you're stuck in crawl mode and your stamina keeps going up 1 tick and down 1 tick until you actually stop and let it regenerate fully. The switch between these two ticks also switches you between the crawl speed and run speed as it goes.

For some reason the server stopped connecting. Restarted it and it connects clients ok now.

@Kaios, yeah, it doing weird things cuz the latency is adjusting the move speed. I need to redo some code to fix it.

You have perhaps 10 loyal fans, all of which seem to prefer 1.15 or 2.

At this point I cannot see any fruits coming from your labors.
Your best bet would be to create a pay2win 1.15 server like I did, I made ~$200usd in a month on your game.

Version 1.15 in my opinion is the peak of your game design/concept/(your abilities as a programmer) most the players would prefer to have you running a 1.15 server like steeltide with active development of quests and a present event staff developing/running scripted events.

I already have a job that pays. I do this for fun and well, to pay for the server host I guess.
