Wilbur Blitz Issue

As pointed out by Vicious or X (can't remember who) it would be incredibly easy for a faction to jump onto troop-making early on and have a grand army while others are still leveling land.  This was done on the server which was admittedly unfair - but definitely goes to show that something may need to be done to equalize it.  Noone wants their player wiped - but with high stats it's very easy to blitz.  Another solution I think is what Vicious or X said - turf war-style having to claim plots to connect the 2, then declaim. The best solution may be a minimum 6 hour wait before declaiming (or making golems?) which gives everyone ample time to prepare for a real war.

One solution, which given "makes it take longer" is to re-increase the world size, and make sure that bases do not spawn near each other, after the wipe i ran not even 4 plots and ran into insectoid's faction land, then ran about another 3-4 and ran into dino's, someone could have taken just copper troops over and beat them if they wanted too..also as suggested by alfred, perhaps a "forced truce" period at the start of the server 1-3 days without the ability to make troops (or at least declaim) so that people don't "blitz".

Not broken - but we took initiative to dominate earlier than we should have and actually ruined the fun for everyone... stinks.

Hmm, I guess it would make sense to disallow declaiming for the first 2 days.
We could do it where troops can't leave faction ground that way you need to claim toward a rival faction but that would draw the game out too long I think.
I'll code the 2 day delay thing and faction wipe and try that out.
Maybe people will start to realize this is a trade skill world, all about making troops, not combat *shrugs*

I think the troop create delay is a smart move, it'll allow the factions to build up rather than just killing on the first or second day. as to the claim toward the rival faction, the further the server progresses the more people will dislike the rival factions, and they will just want to claim to them just to kill off, so the slowest part of the claim to each other will probably be the lack of gold.
