With V2 I started using a new map design/creation tool. It creates moer natural, organic maps but flat space is limited though.
The old map types had a lot of flat space for people to build and all.
So what do you prefer?

the new map style looks epic compared to the last, who cares if it means more people have to dig themself a flat plot, just makes finding mostly flat plots all that more rare. and stops annoying people becoming unwanted neighbours...... :D

The natural maps look awesome. User's could always level the land if needed if they need flat land.

New, more natural maps are way better than the boring square world that is normal now.

Nice job.

Yeah, have to agree, elevation and realistic looking land over a completely flat world.

Was massively fun leveling land  ;D

I think I figured out a way to stretch the map out and level it out somewhat and not pixelize it. So, I'll work on the New way.

Also, redoing placement of plants at the start. Making large forests instead of spread out patches. Thick enough you need to hack through.

Also, think I got plant growth figured out so it doesn't grow out of control.

is it too late to put in my 2 cents?(I usually play and don't read too much so didn't pop over til UT took the server down)

if you're marketing the game to a new market(fb) where you'll have tons of people who have never played before, it might be better to go with the flatter maps since many people will have no idea how to flatten land...and will probably give up quickly when they can't build a house.

yes the new map looks way cooler, but to market to masses you should probably go with ease of use...practical before pretty

but if you're doing 1 on fb and 1 normal(which is the 1 I'd play since I refuse to use fb) maybe go with old map style on fb new map style on normal server
why does Fox keep cancelling good shows?
