Hello Im having trouble trying to spawn monsters on my server (I really hope this is the right place to ask).

in the text file it says
"Question: How do I add monster wilderness spawns?

Answer: They are spaced in every 50x50 area. The chat command /monstercatagory <number> will set the spawn. The catagory numbers can be found and set in the monster.ini file. /monstersectorcatagory <number> will set a 4x4 or an entire sector."

Can this please be clarified as it is not working for my spawns at all. The only monsters i get are those that are unearthed from mining, nothing else.

Another problem is that plants will not grow even if given alot of time, some turn to garbage?!

Please Help.

is the elevation for the plants to high
/monstersectorcatagory *number* worked for me

i think elevation could be the reason but how do i change that?

as for the monster spawns, am i typing it in the right place? do you not type it in the server chat window?

Barely any commands work in the server chat window. The server chat window is mostly for chat.

To use the commands you need create a player called Admin Anyname here
And then in the world.ini set the account to be an ultraadmin

So to make things as clear as possible:

(1)create an account named: admin yourname

(2)then edit world.ini
Find and change: ;@@@Admins
;UltraAdmin=admin yourname

(3)Then create your character, what ever name you choose

(4)Login and type into chat window: /monstersectorcatagory 1 (to spawn catagory 1 monsters)

a little bit different
1. it can be any account name that part does not matter what is called
2. This is the account name
3. Is create a character with Admin yourname

4. Is correct

OK I followed that to the letter several times, even uninstalled the server and client and reinstalled them. Still no monsters or animals. I have GOT to be doing something wrong.

These are supposed to be random spawns like the plants are they not?
confused...
its not something crazy like case sensitive is it?

Every time i try to enter the command it pops up with help info on basic commands only.

Ok now im going to log into my server and put in my USERNAME: "shanshan" and my PASSWORD: "password" and I get the create char screen.

I'm going to click "Create" and put in the char name as "Admin Shan" and click "Ok" without filling in any stats or skills.

Now im going to log into the world and my char should have the name of "@@@Admin Shan" if not we did something wrong here go back and make sure your world.ini looks like what i posted only with your info there.

Now type the command in the client(not server) chat window /monstercatagory <number> or /monstersectorcatagory <number>

there we go that worked. Thanks ALOT!

is there also away to clear monsters like you can with plants?
I altered monster.ini to change some catagories but older monsters are still spawning. lol

I have a question. After i make a map with the edit tool how do i load it to my server?

You have to export the map as an .rsf file in the map editor
Then copy the .rsf to your rpgwo client folder
Then in game go to spot where you want to open the map
And then type /open yourmapname.rsf

im just curious when i do that monsters dont seem to always spawn? like i switch it several times b4 they start to spawn?

unless there a player in the secter monsters shouldnt spawn there
