How about a friend system?
« on: July 05, 2009, 06:52:19 am »
I always wanted to be friends with people and other games have it and I was surprised when this one didn't. Maybe we could take this into consideration? Maybe not.

The problem with this is the fact that like at most nowadays like 10 people are online. Back in the day when there were constantly 100+ people on it might've been useful. But, guild chat. It pretty much takes its place, and it comes with the benefits like pooled xp and stuff.

Yeah it's a good idea as we see the benefits it provides on other games but in all seriousness here, you can make your own channel's for your buddies or guild chat like Muffin said. And RPGwo has the benefit of seeing any given character log in/out provided you have it enabled. So that little neat message saying your buddy is online is kinda there anyways

While I agree with Muffin, I also concur with the TC.  It would be nice; I'm constantly friend with people from other guilds and I don't care to open a channel.  Doesn't really bother me too much, though.

AIM/MSN/ICQ/Yahoo/The other 5000 chat programs?

RPGWO doesn't really need a friend system. There is chat channels, guids, /tell.. when I talk to a friend, I'd rather do it through an alternate client anyways, seeing as EVERYTHING is recorded on server logs.

maybe even a team system where more than one person can be in a team and fight to split xp. helps out noobs and vets get some extra unneeded xp. or two noobs fights a step up monster.

There is an XP pool in guild, and a party system has been discussed many times. Mickey will never put any effort into something that requires that much time. This was proven with the last time he made a "major change" AKA version change and all he really did was move around VB forms and add in a couple others.

Why dont you learn to play the game and understand it, then try add ideas that have some kind of use, not all these wolfty ideas you have from failtiger games.
RPGWO:
Lvl 91 Staff - Steeltide
Lvl 97 Crossbow - Nulona
Lvl 47 Thrower - Shadow
Lvl 61 Axe - Ataxia
Lvl 82 Staff - Asylum
Lvl 94 Halberd - Nexus
Lvl 82 Shockwave Cannon - Future
Lvl 66 Stealth Xbow - Carnage

I've had enough of partying to last me a lifetime..

I like how RPGWO is solo play

I'd be pissed if I had to party for xp... it'd be like FFXI all over again >.>
