If you've played an mmo and decided to leave the game, what eventually got you to leave that game?

This is something i think mmo'ers should be more aware of before starting up games, there is so much information of all kinds about a game, and the perhaps small thing that could ruin it for you might not be discovered until you're well into it.

So what was your gamebreaker(s) for whitch game(s)?

For me:

AOC - lagged like hell for me

WAR - classed imbalanced, pvp grind, repetative

LotRo - long assed quests, but not really anything to complain about

WoW - repetative, easy end game, required group

UO - nothing wrong with it in it's time, but dated now

RPGWO - getting smaller each year community wise

Indeed he is.

Not that many MMORPG's are that fun for me anymore.  But I was never a hardcore RPG'er.  I'm more into RTS myself.

While I still play it, think I should post it.

Final Fantasy XI Online

I'd go into details, but too tired.

Probably wolf. Was like 15 bucks for a million gold when I quit, and that was in 2005. The economy has become so tigered, I'm sure it's probably down to around 5 now.

Anyways, my list is too long.

WoW - Quit and keep going back, but it's just so repetitive. Nothing "new" is ever introduced, they just rehash old wolf and call it new content.

FFXI - XBOX HUEG time sink. Nuff said. If a private server ever came out that got rid all of the stupid things that really don't need to be there, I'd be all over that and would probably never quit.

RPGWO - Do I really need to explain it?

UO - Every server available caters to people that have been playing for years and can't seem to let the tigering game go. Don't feel like spending a week figuring out what to do.

EVE Online - Was just boring as tiger. The entire tutorial at the beginning pretty much taught you how to do the basic things, which took entirely too long. Seriously, clicking 3 buttons for a "quest" is cool, but it seems useless. I don't even know if there were tigering levels in it. To mine, you just fly up to an asteroid, click 10 buttons to get the ship to circle a rock, and shoot a laser beam at it. The tutorial doesn't even say what to do with the ores, it just tells you to sell it to other people. tigering retarded.

LOTRO - Took too long to do some things, but after playing XI, I'm sure I can handle it. Planning on trying it out again soon.

Runescape - Got taken over by 8 year olds and Jagex turned into hippos. Sorry, when I say something like "Hi, how are you doing today?", I don't want to see "Hi, *** are *ou do*** t*od***". Also, lol @ raising the membership price "to reflect on the economy". The owner is only the third (or was it fifth) richest person in the UK, and richer than tigering Prince Charles or whatever his name was.

Conquer Online - TQ tigered it up. Got really greedy and made the entire game completely focused on the EXPEEENSSIIIIVE cash shop. Did some really stupid updates that broke the game, and no matter what they did, could not stop people from using hacks.

Eudemons Online - Got boring. 90% of the game is built around the cash shop. TQ game, of course.

Can't really think of anything else right now.

Now THAT sounds intriguing.

I hear you on the WoW thing, pulled another hiatus and probably wont return for a long time. Just too time consuming. I'd rather something you can play sparingly but still enjoy and be competitive. Gonna keep my eye out for that new Star Wars MMO

WoW : Too addictive, takes control of all your time planning. Gets repetitive and the fun is sometimes lost.

Everquest Online : Prolly would've enjoyed more if I wasnt still a young lad when I tried it.

I think if WoW does another expansion I won't worry about raids and just go through the solo content and pk cause it's too much of a pain to get organised etc.

Lol. I think it would be nice if it had a storyline. Instead of random quests that semi fit together. Sure some of it is story but how about a quest line through multiple areas with a story or something.

There next expansion, will be as discussed in the WoW topic I have, something completely different and a step outside of common-place Azeroth I think.

The game is great but like I say, over addiciting and many others have put it, lack of story(I feel that) and maybe more solo content indeed. If your playing solo your not gonna do much at 80. BG's or LFG Heroics

I just quit FFXI.... it was alot of things all building.  Leveling in late 70s taking eons... always needing a group to depend on for all the quests & missions and partying.  Sometimes its best to just run solo but hard to get much accomplished.  I think just wolf taking forever was the main part... and drama.

I can't really put RPGWO in there because I still occationally play it.

Runescape - Removed wildy everything started to change and just couldn't stand it anymore.

ROSE - Everyone just stopped playing it so I quit.

KO - Same wolf over and over again. Boring.

GTAMP - Funnest server closed down, will probably be back when I get a new computer/HR is released.
