I announced this in the What's New but i'll post it here for those that don't runt he client but still hang out here....

Version 2.11 (08/06/08)
· I have been quiet lately because I have been busy working hard on V2. So here is what's going on and my general plan...
· After a month of multi-map testing, I decided it was time to redo the .ini files (content) for my fantasy worlds. Tons of work and re-work but I finally got it done enough to open a new world. 2 of the major things I re-worked was I added ore weapons and I changed how blacksmith works. Blacksmith is like jewelry making now with smelting ores and using molds. You'll see when it comes out soon.
· I am now in the process of resizing the internal structures, adding more space and expanding fields like player name from size 20 to 50, carry items from 50 to 100, etc. I should have this wrapped up within the week.
· Then I am going to open up a test world in which I will need 5-10 veteran players to test all these changes out. A veteran is a player who has hit at least level 40 and has played (off and on) for several years. The test world will be restricted access so you will have to email me when it shows up on the server list for me to consider you and grant access. I'll probably give @@ at that time and give other incentives to find bugs. Incentives like special items, perks, land, etc when the real world opens. The test world will only be open for a few weeks and will be wiped. Also, Chaos will have to be closed since it would have data incompatibilities.
· When I am satisfied the test world has dealt with all the bugs, then I will open a new world to all players. It will replace Asylum and be the new "Newb Friendly" world that I will run. I am shooting for the glory days of Steeltide and plan to build and code like the good ol' days. Actually, that is all I have been doing lately!!!
· Chaos will probably remain closed and probably won't come back until X-mas time. It would be fully wiped. Maybe it would come back sooner if players requested it but I doubt it.
· So that is what is planned and going on. I know a lot of you have been emailing me and asking for a new world and better admin involvement, so just hang in there.

Im sorry to say but, If UT has ANY kind of controll over this world...server access/admin.

Then its going to blow like no other.

Unless its run by YOU alone without some jumped up child hissyfitting all over the place then its not worth paying attention to.

I gotta agree, I just think he doesn't take the game seriously at all, in my opinion he's been a big problem for years

Well its not only that, the "Vets" those of us who can get 40+ easily, He dislikes.

Nobody will be able to find bugs or anything with him restricting everything you do.

I also really hope he doesnt accept the chaos high levels since none of them count.

Edit: and yeah i agree, Work on the server yourself, let UT keep to his worlds, and you keep to yours, that way you'll keep rpgwo alive

i know you'll prob come back saying that UT is whats kept this game alive all these years, well yes, in a way he has, but now he's just ruining the fun slightly in my....and 99% of peoples opinions.

I will be running it and UT's role is pretty much an observer with no admin authority. He will still have @@@ and come and go as he pleases but he is to not interfere. He really won't have time since he is redoing his INI files as well and running his own world(s).

And Chaos veterans don't count, heh.

How dare you accept the existance of rogue worlds O.o!! I completely aggree though. Chaos is like the epitamy of afk training and no skill training. Half of the people just have bugged damon anyway. It is somewhat funny to see them try to play other servers though. You should just use those who have posted on this thread so far as vet's. Because they all are. Not including me who, although i've played this game for too long, have been involved in much ellicitness lately.

Good luck getting vets to do anything, anyone that even still HANGS around here that has gotten over 40 will just tiger everything up.

I still don't even see why you let that stupid tigertard UT even have @@@ on your servers, you know for damned sure he's gonna screw with something. He just has to dislike someone to ban them on all worlds, there goes some of your playerbase. Not to mention all of the other bogus wolf he does.

thats true muff, he's gonna have "no" admin interfeerance, apart from the occasional ban of the whole server, which is just pointless, if you want a fun rpg then dont have some one on the server who will ban for the pure pleasure, have some one who will take the rules seriously or there bollocks will be finely shredded in a blender.

imo V2 will bring rpgwo back, but then UT having the ability to ban will kill it again, 1 step forward 2 steps back

Edit: also this alleged power leveling he allowed 2 people to do on him, that ruins a server even more. i dont want to see any of that on V2. if i was you mickey, i would stick with giving access to people who you can trust to not kill rpgwo and who can give improvements such as Tai....Hell bring back Summoner <3 him and i have his msn even Sadam would have killed / banned less players.

Stop worrying about UT and start worrying about how in the world I am gonna get a story line going!!!
I was thnking of using my RPG Party Story, which no one ever saw, in Horizon. One problem is no one
wants their land burned. Except maybe UT, heh.

Story line, The Grayvyns were born out of the anger of the residents of RPGWO due to an evil tyrant ruining the world, the grayvyns, being born from our hate are destroying the land that king mickey created with his love.

the only way to destroy the grayvyns and save the world (for now) is to get rid of the evil tyrant in some way shape or form

(see what i did there? came up with a story and used real life events...in a way )
