I'm having some trouble playing RPGWO. When I try to run the program, after selecting server I get;



It was working for me before on this computer.

If not, google "Runtime error 5" and see what the problem is and see if u can fix it?

I wouldn't know what the problem is.  I use Vista and everytime I have to do a factory restore, it works fine.  If you know what a factory restoration is, do that.  It usually fixes everything.  But remember to back up your files on a disk or something so you don't lose them all.

Wtf, you do a factory reinstall EVERY time? that WIPES your whole pc? whats the point? it wont help on this really...

Here, i googled it for u:

"Error message: "Run-time Error 5 - Invalid Procedure Call or Argument" when generating an exception report.

The run-time error 5 is normally due to a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) reference; if you look in the "About Quality Analyst" information, you'll see items like:

Directory, Application: \\sepanet\sepadata...

Here are the details to fix this:

The "Run-time Error 5" problem is that the menu item or icon that starts up Quality Analyst has the location for Quality Analyst specified using the "UNC" server name convention (the "\\..." form).  Quality Analyst needs to be referenced from a mapped drive letter.

This is set in the Windows Properties for the menu item or icon or shortcut that you use to start up Quality Analyst.  Go to the Properties for the menu item, and select the Shortcut tab.  Change the drive specified in both the "Target" and the "Start in" to use a mapped drive letter (and directory name as needed), not the "\\" server name notation."

I just started getting this problem, not sure how to fix it after reading all of this... I am on XP Pro SP2 with all the updates, and have no clue what is going on... i just started getting this problem thismorning... it worked fine last night all the way until I shutdown for bed... any help is appreciated... if you need to contact me, send me a PM =]

I would try installing directx 7

Also check sysinternals.com get filemon and watch client.exe and autoupdater.exe file processing to see what dies on
