It would also suck ass if certain items disappeared due to a cave in -.-

There is no advantage to this. Except extra storage. That is why you're allowed 2 plots of land if you have perks. 20x40 is plenty of space for everything.

EXACTLY.  So for those without perks, they could get a 2nd land plot, but they'd have to be extra careful on their 2nd story.  It could cave in due to lack of suffecient support from pillars or support beams.

Why not just get Chrono to hold it up?

Why not get Rha?  She can support anything.

Seems to me like it would be an awesome idea to me.  But there should be some advantages/disadvantages.  If you have 2 stories, you basically own 2 plots of land.

I disagree, it'll be just 1 plot because you own the land underneath, why not own it above too.

Maybe use a stairs up and well you could always go up but if theres nothing there you can't move onto it. And there will have to be some support down below from maybe a ceiling. The advantage would be you have a whole new level to explore and I think it would be interesting to have some training places above the ground.

IOno, there would need to be a way of clearning the top floor as well... like when you make a mine shaft it auto clears a 3x3 space below ground... mayube the support beam could do that above as well...

One thing this made me think of was that i WISH mickey woulda made it 20x20 instead of 19x19 so u can see the whole of your house  that wud be kool...

Why would you need to clear the 2nd floor if it's above ground?  And Wings... there must be a disadvantage to a 2nd floor.  Like it will cave in and make certain items on the 1st floor disappear with lack of support.  Something like that... because if you have a 2nd floor, you have 2 plots.  You can do w/e you want to the 2nd as you want to do to the first.

But you can only put the amount of burden that your support beams or pillars or w/e will hold up.  Anything over that will cave in.

Just make it so that each pillar can support a 3x3 square of items on top of it.

And that was said before, thats probably how it would go.. or a bigger area.. cause i doubt you want your 1st floor be full of pillars

5x5 would be better.

Why not make a ceiling be auto generated when theres walls connecting and it can be "inside" unless theres a gap in the wall which would make it "outside" unless all the walls are connected. That will illimiate the need for support beams and such. And the ceiling can be just like the floor provided theres a stairs up going to it. And of course the ceiling can be turned off and transparent etc.

Well thats kinda what would have to be done anyways.. otherwise you could have a top floor and a basement without having 1st floor walls for more support.. people would try to use it to plant plants on the 1st floor and then make the 2nd floor come out of know where if it just had to be used with pillars..

You lazy ass.
Has nothing to do with laziness, has to do with being able to use the land.

[ Specified attachment is not available ]

First one is if pillars support 3x3, second is 5x5.  Also, it's assumed that the walls support the same ammount.

what the hell can you do with the house that has that many pillars in the first one?

You'll also have stairs, and everything else in your house, the 3x3 would look like wolf.
