Actually.

I was running a topsites once. And the bandwidth was getting incredibly high and I wasn't sure why. So I closed the site and put a redirect to the forums.

Apparently, a whole bunch of bots were running to refresh on the main page. So all of those refresher bots came to the forums and started refreshing. There were like 3k bots.

It took me about 10 seconds to shoo them away.
