Now ive been thinking about it (again) and i got these questions:
If you make Assess, Scan, Swim and Run FreeSkills, and lets say give players 20 skill points and make the jobs cost 10 points each so player could obtain and specialize in one job only at the creation, then how are you going to stop the player from training other jobs when he has leveled enough? Or perhaps you are planning to let players obtain other jobs further in the gameplay?
Pharsing these questions gave me answers to my own questions.
With the current system you cant stop players from obtaining other skill set jobs when they have leveled enough, BUT you can slow the process down EITHER by
1) Giving players 200 skill points and making one job cost 100 points, which enables them to specialize in ONE job and obtain another secondary one when they reach level 100 and a tertiary job when they reach level 200 AND keeping the game the same unbalanced as it is at the moment on current servers.
2) The same 200 skill points, BUT balancing the game out a bit more (meaning easier to obtain higher levels with monster levels ranging to 300-400)
3) The same 200 skill points, BUT unbalancing the game even more (throwing in new monsters but their levels dont go higher than 80)
The third option removes the possibility of players reaching level 100, but is highly unadvisable, cause the gameplay is very likely to get boring without high level range of monsters.
The first option is the second best, cause it would not remove one major flaws which RPWGO servers have, which is the game getting unbalanced when youre higher levels.
The second option would be the best, cause it would stall players from obtaining another job but at the same time keeping the game interesting also for higher level players, because it leaves room for them to develop further, should they feel the need to do so. besides you can always regulate how many skill points you are going to give to a player, to make it easier or more difficult to obtain a second job. If you dislike the idea of players having a second or third job you can give players 500 skill points and make a skill cost 250, which requires the players to reach level 250 for a new job, which is praectically impossible, if you keep the game unbalanced as is.
I myself would like second or third jobs, so figure out how to balance it.
