Jeeeez guys don't you miss these cool servers!? we get it, we suck. Now come back roarion!

Probably unlikely for the following reasons,

1) Not a lot of people play enough of the content for the amount of time put in. Some quests take me 6-7 hrs to make only to have 1 person do them in 20-40 minutes.

2) Wouldn't want to open the same server again and just have people play the same content over.

3) Making new content takes a long time, working now and in my spare time have been playing Overwatch (PC) or working on other personal projects with some new Google APIs.

4) Player base is very small, a number of people abuse macros, banning those people leads to an even small server.

5) Very small population makes traders useless since it's more optimal to be a trader first and then remake with all of your supplies.

6) Hard to host events / other fun stuff with scripts with small number of players. I'm not really interested in going on that ini grind again after making Future from scratch and would be more interested in dealing with server side scripts.

7) A lot of the people I use to play with have quit the game.

8- V2 has limitations on how unique the server can really be. It also has annoying bugs that can be difficult to deal with. The source code for V2 will probably never be released and would cause fragmentation / further difficulty playing or getting new players.

9) I will have to be the sole admin on the server meaning i'll have to deal with any player's request / complaints and general server maintenance. Really liked having Miggi as an admin in the past but people complained about him to death. Mysti was an absolute turd admin / hard to deal with and I just quit with her after her fit about turning big trees into small ones. Still doesn't make sense to me.

10) Lots of people have the Hex / Hexed files and could try to open a server from them, if you have any questions you can directly PM me i've helped a lot of people set up servers. I think only 2 people have the complete bug free Future files. I only shared them with someone I could see making a competent server.

V6 is also being actively worked on? I was hoping that would just be a better overall version of V2 but it seems like it will have different mechanics or is being taking in a different direction. So IDK, I haven't played it in a while so my mistake if that's not the case anymore. If it brings in a bunch of players by some miracle or ever gets finished I wouldn't mind doing some collaboration work on that.

Don't get me wrong I still sometimes feel like making / adding on to my Future server. But the game has much less players then Hex which came out 3-4 (?) years ago and was able to get 50 players somehow during the launch. When Future came out a year (?) ago I can't remember seeing over 20.

bad for scenario because oceans surround continents, don't make up parts of them.  meaning you're making an entire world not a new continent...but you could do a full world and just change the scenario.

bad for gameplay because it leaves less usable/claimable land.  not bad just for players, but also for quests and monster spawns(we've all seen smaller servers get almost fully claimed before with no space for a new player to get started).

edges should be fine as ocean, and lakes/rivers could give plenty of water(20% might look better, but might be too low).

if you're adding underwater stuff larger lakes should be fine for that, unless there is some specific reason you want it as ocean.  I'd have to know more of your underwater plan before I can really comment on it(but it sounds like a sneaky way to drown nosey people).

The reason water sucks is that you can't build walls on docks and the monsters are usually worthless or much more dangerous with little reward compared to other land mobs. If you keep bigger lakes away from the noobier areas I think you would be fine.

just wondering because as much as i love steel tide id like to play a v2 server ;)

Both those servers are perma down I believe, Mickey just never removed them from the list.

i have a Server, i Have Quests.. i Have items... im not opening a server for 1 reason.. micks a tool and i dont want him to steal my ideas.. i'll make a diff Game Server.. like Wow Or Eudemons online or  Something.. Someone Should Kick Mickey off this project.. and then it could become Something More then  mickey has made it clear on more then one occasion.. hes not looking to make a real good playable game.. hes looking to make something that will cause people to poor money into it while he does nothing. if he put 1\6 the effort into his game back when it was needed.. he would be there.. but Instead we have what we have. like i said i have a decent Set of Server Files Created From The Fancy Lad Files im not gonna help bring people to a game that the owner is a person whom id like to cause physical harm to.

I don't think he is sitting in his mom's basement thinking about how he can cash shop you $1000 to be OP. Have you ever spent any money playing this game that actually went to Mickey in the past 10 yrs? I'm sure he would like to make money off of this game but V1-V2 are dead and V6 is very early in development and it seems like he just works on it in his spare time.

Anyway if you want to see real progress on the game you can fund him for a year to work on it or else stop crying about how he freely lets you use his v1 / v2 servers.

The game is 15+ yrs old and uses legacy code. It should of been closed down 5 years ago imo. If he wants to work on v6 a bit and have fun doing it that's his business. If you want to cry about how bad it is please save your breath because no one cares. I told you from the start you were wasting you time making a server now please move along and play other games.

hey I liked Conquer Online...haven't played it in about a decade though(pc died and I was still using dial up back then so didn't want to download it again).

Same exact situation here. Once you hit around lvl 100 and its a endless grind to get good gear so you don't suck or you cash shop hard and win. Eudemons online = how much money can you invest in your pet to P2W. Conquer online = how much money can you invest in your gear to P2W.  If you buy a good super weapon or high level rare pet you are instantly months ahead of F2P players.

When I was younger my favorite games were probably Darkeden, Conquer Online, Eudemons, and FLYFF. They took days to download lmao. They were all pretty sick games when they first came out too. Too bad they all got ruined / trashed out by P2W mondels.

Hey again im Just wondering If Someone Could explain a little about making new images for my created items..



1) Images are blocks of 32px by 32px. The max size image in RPGWO can be 64x64 px.

2) All items / images only take up 1 square of space they can block, but can span 4 squares.

3) Imagetypes-
    a) imagetype 3 is a 64x64 image.
    b) imagetype 1-2 are 32x64 image, I think the difference between them in that one will block the top of the image and the other will block the bottom? Can't remember exactly just try it out it's easy enough.
    
4) Save all your images as BMP files. If you use gimp or photoshop to edit the images and if they don't work resave them in windows paint as BMP files.

5) White space is not seen in your images. So if you want a transparent background make sure you put complete white in (#ffffff). If you want to show white color put something very close to white in.

6) I've attached a 320x320 blank template you can use to start putting images into.

7) I've uploaded a RPGWO tools package I put together for you.
   a) TileMage Image Splitter can be used to chop up images into 32x32 images.
   b) GifFrame can be used to cut up a gif so you can animate something in game.
   c) RPGWO Graphics is probably the most important. It's made by Jon so be sure to thank him for his useful tool. You use this to paste your 32x32 images into the blank template I attached (or other image files) and get them perfectly aligned.

8 ) I think some of the graphics I chopped up in the "images already in" folder for you to look at.

9) Use pmastermaker to make the zlibs after you update your images files to serve them to your client.

10) Obviously if you looked in the item ini the images are index by number with page 1 holding the first 100 images.

Roarian Said Aparently restarting your Sever will Reset the walls too  havnt trieed yet.. i just /surfacetrail 0 around the tunnels


And for the Leveling... /level 1-50 will level 50 tiles in your area to the elevation of the tile your standing on.. 20 aparently is for a plot. but i cant figure where to stand to make it even with 1 plot of land lol

I don't think I said that restarting your server will put cave walls in... Maybe, never tried it.

I think /landowner will give you the coords of the plot you're on and then you can go to the top left corner and drop the map in. You will always want to be 1 square NW above where you are dropping the map in (which is annoying for floating maps).

Also turn on 20x20 grid on your map or 50x50 for greater ease.

You Should add A damn Cave wall Surface in rpgwo edit.. ive tried any surface that looks like it could be a mine shaft and its nothing when i put the map in wpg wo.. no walls.. just black surface and the Surface of my Created Tunnels.. anyone Know what to do?


1) open the map underground
2) Put surfaces where you don't want cave walls.

Honestly i'm not exactly sure what you mean. Could you post a screen shot?

1) Put updated dats from server folder into your local.files folder.
2) Put pmastermaker and zlib.dll inside local.files folder.
3) Run pmastermaker just hit auto.
4) Copy only zlib files (could be called something else if so my bad) into a new folder on your desktop called RealWorldName.files
5) Use a program like HFS (or something more advanced if you have any kind of knowledge of these things) to host the new RealWorldName.files folder (host it as a real folder).
6) Put your hosted files URL into your connect.ini. You can pull it from HFS it will be named something like this, http://192.111.111.111/Future.files/

Mastermaker takes all the files in your local.file folder and converts them into files rpgwo-updater will pull. When you put the new zlib files into a new folder and then put them into HFS you are basically saying "Here are my files internet, come download them so you can use them to play my world"

How are you starting the client?

Try Start Button, Run, <client path>\client2.exe 127.0.0.1:6015
You need to start the client2.exe directly. I don't think the "Specify" option works from the updater for V2.


This Fixed it So it would Connect.. is there any way to permanently Set my Client2.exe to connect to to my ip with out me having to type the file path in run


Edit: Im deffinately Missing Some Files Because almos every item Shows up as red Question marks.. Is there Supposed to be an

Please check you private messages. You put the server files in their own folder. Make dats, move dats into you local files, mod you connect.ini to connect.


Yea But Where is The Folder i put them in going...  Do i put it in the Server File? In my Client Folder by the Local.files?
