The general industry standard is to always keep your domains at a dedicated domain place (like Gandi or dynadot) and host elsewhere, bad idea to keep all your eggs in one basket.

I like Dynadot for domains. Cheap too.

The top 10 lists are the problem, they are almost all the same company and listed via affiliate schemes. EIG owns most of those and pays out the most per customer acquisition on wolfty, overloaded, insecure servers. If you look at the pcmag 'best provider' list, the only one that isn't horrendous wolf is Dreamhost (they are decent, but somewhat slow speed-wise), and the rest are almost all owned by one company.

I've used Webfaction for 5+ years and would be happy to recommend them, but if $10 is more than you want to spend, take a look at BS

You're on EIG, that explains a lot. It is 100% their fault, they run scripting and web and everything as basically the same www user, any other site getting hacked will more or less result in your home directory being writable.

They are well known on the internet for being awful garbage, and most of their customers are the result of fraudulent affiliate spam "top 10 hosting reviews"

Why are you writing anything yourself? Just pay $5/year somewhere better and less wolfty, it's just plain files.

The various tame commands control mules, traders, garbage like that. I'd probably be ok with just leaving it at untrainable, so you can still tame chickens, since there's a hotfix for that in V3

I would not care if it was removed, but I'm sure some of the afk training room children would have a big whinge about it

I'm halfway certain you can still tame level 1/level 0 mobs with no tame like chickens or something.

Hop on the Discord and I can hook you up with testing access.
I don't use discord, and even if I did I couldn't now...I have a sore throat >:(
It's text chat in a browser

PVP and stealing in general are not safe because of fundamental game engine bugs. There's not much point in even attempting to secure a home if people can just pass through any number of walls, pineapple like that.

« on: May 11, 2018, 03:50:40 pm »
A large problem of mine with V6 is just how 'responsive' it is. I'm not sure how to describe it, but everything in V2/V3 react significantly faster.

Yes, I changed the movement thing to pop, but it just feels incredibly... slow. I'd be interested in a lot more keyboard hotkeys too, or crafting windows or something.

I'd love to play some more v6, is it possible to get a more readable font option on anything yet?
