v2 Servers / Direction of Purgatory...

As a reminder this server was just thrown together.
I pretty much want to work on a server from scratch and have purgatory up till more choices are available.
So I while I am busy with this.
Should we get another Admin? If so, who? explain if yourself.

Or, I can just run it from shadows and throw stuff on slowly on to the server.

RPGWO 2 / Alpha Server Purgatory

Currently blank world for testing that is overpopulated with plants with little to no monsters yet. But, will setup a training arena. This will be wiped. BUT, I need to test to see if people can join. Will give a trophy and special item bonus for each top ten a player ranks in. On official release the top character(not account) with most top 10's gets 1 ANY pet token.

My Plans:
I am making a single run story world like Diablo. Where you follow a linear path with very little side stuff questing wise. There will be a Purgatory world(obviously) that will be blank when wiped. Your goal will to bring plants, animals, magics, knowledge, etc. from other planes/worlds and populate the purgatory world. In short, Fighters go through world story to bring back things for traders.

99 Tame Limit
Lowered Starter Stats

Future Plans:
I will add/remove monsters, items, and item uses as I add story/dungeons to support them.

I have made some example replacement art that can be used for current mobs and items. Can submit in sheet form if need, but here is a few.









None of these are the actual final drafts just tons of reworks and examples!

RPGWO V6 / V7 / Concept art Style

I was thinking we could style the foreground images. By adding a white border then a white border you gain a more table top look. It will give a more board game piece feel to it. Which in the end it is a game.

The only con is it takes a little bit more room to make borders so you really have a max of 30x30. But, since this is alpha nad making changes you can always add more wiggle room.

Make it so images get flipped towards the X-axis they are moving or facing.
Example: Watch Luigi


If you move left you face left and if you move right you face right.
