« on: January 09, 2019, 01:05:06 pm »The problem is Visual Basic 6. I just spent 1 year working on V3 and it was painful. It is over 20 years old and was worse than dealing with a teenager.
This has been explained before.
VB6 is dead. It came out in the early 90s.
Remaking the game in a new language is a much better plan.

Name changes can be a good thing, although not necessary.
RPGWO does sound kind of generic now a days. A flashy name could attract some new players (maybe).
Being that there is no real storyline or lore it would be difficult to name the game something related to itself. I guess Grayvyn were a reoccurring thing.
Name it Grayvyn Online or something to that effect or Grayvyn Reborn. Those roll of the tongue.

Hey guys, when RPGWO.com comes back up you shouldn't have any trouble downloading the game. If the connection server isn't working properly by then you will have to edit your connect.ini with the proper information then make it read only to connect to the server.

I normally stay quiet among the complaining that goes on in the forum, I mean I will answer questions but I don't normally criticize people.
But in this case, it is pretty tigering sad that you guys want to create drama over the only server for this game. People have been asking for a server for months now and someone comes out with one and people just tigering complain.
People are acting like he tigering gave deity boosts and spawned full damon for the guy, when in reality basically nothing productive was done. Was it wrong, technically yes, but is it worth all this, I think not.
I mean people are saying oh we shouldn't let RPGWO die, lets make a new server, I would love to play.
But then some life is breathed back into it and people just try to start wolf, it is really disappointing.

Was considering making a plain rpgwo server just so people had something to play, but someone beat me to it.
Which all in all isn't bad for me, I would like to play as well.

Nope, not mine. I don't really want to make the same old basic rpgwo server, but no one seems to want to try anything new. So I basically stopped working on it.
