He set the bar for leveling and skill excellence and also got it in a very difficult time when jewels and pots weren't the thing, and mostly used only in guildwars/PKing.

The hard part is to pick someone who is overall good. Not just good at one world one time. But a peson who is able to do multiple skills pretty well.

i agree with jon. how do u really pick a best player ever? give me some criteria...high level? generaly liked? most pk's? biggest guild? what? there are pople who have played, and gotten good...but generaly go unnoticed.
i vote for tonga.he played on 5 different worlds that i can count, dont know about luny or arc cuz im not dumb enough to arc. always a good guy. never a big mouth. always in the top ten. never in a guild. if u asked him for it, he'd help u - even if u didnt know him well.

Best player simmy or manty. manty has the lvl simmy didnt put enough into it or couldve been best. Tilur is garbage round up his best char put him up against my lvl 90 xbow i would pwn his best char he ever had and wolf i only think im really good. so in conclusion i say simmy if he tried more and manty cuz you cant dispute numbers. YES! HALLELUJAH, I've been waiting for Cham to reply to this topic.
First off: How many chars have you had? Three, lvl 60 ST, 90 Xbow, and 63+. Three, high levels indeed, but Tilur owned you anytime of the day. I guarantee you 110% that if Tilur came, used ultima potions, +110 jewels(of which you got your level 90 xbower), and boosts, he EASILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY would have surpassed Mantis, your level 90, Simmy, Molo, Mystro, PM, Simmy, Stryder, Holy, whoever the tiger else any day of the week.
You say he was scared of 'the new generation'? Yet you name some poeple that Tilur were friends with and played with, including Mantis, Simmias, Holy, and Jaster, even Stryder. Tilur GOT A LIFE, we(the veterans) are in our last years, as I am anyway, and I'll be going to college next year, so you won't see me much, if at all, Tilur did the same thing.
Do not say we believe he's coming back, because if he did, you'd be running and hiding behind your own mother. We realize he ISN'T, but it doesn't mean he isn't the best player of all time. Molo, JJ, Mystro, Holy Man, and MOST OF tigerING ALL, yourself do not own nor will you ever be better then Tilur.
Stop bragging and realize Tilur did what he did without your precious ultima potions and +110. I'd really like to see the original Deimos of no boosts, pots or jewels come up and have

Even though you do not hear about someone, does not make them a horrible player. Hes played on every server since First Lib, and all his players have been 60+. He was bad ass at everything, trade skill,melee,defs even had uber amounts of money.

Cham, I'd like to start off by saying how much I love to read your posts. They are full of boasting and bragging. Ever post you make it shows how much you think of yourself. On top of that look at all of your gramitacal errors, you hardly capitalize anything anything. Suprised you figured out how to download RPGWO. Sorta wish Mickey made it a little harder to download, cause I know for sure you would have made it even into the game.
Did you even play RPGWO when Tilur did? Lol, you constanly call yourself rookie of the year. I'm sorry to say its 2006 man. Only playing I see you doing is on a server easier then Nulona (Shadow). Funny how every server you play is the one with the most corruption. On top of that I'd like to see you survive without high levels helping you out. When I mean the high levels helping you out I mean Mantis helping you on Phobos, and Jaster, T2D, and FBN helping you on Shadow. You completly rely on the higher levels to completely guid you through everything. None of the players you listed can even come close to matching Tilur other then Jaster. I want to see who Jaster thinks the best player ever is, he actually played when the game wasn't corrupt and filled with assholes like yourself.
Molo--Decent player, on Phobos, if that counts. Decent on Luny.
JJ--Now he was pretty good, really good on Luny and pretty good on Phobos.
Mystro--Also a decent luny player. Plus Fakebos.
HolyMan--Far from it.
Cham--Noob of the year. Cocky hawk.
Zaliron--Good ST player, actually very good, but not the best.
Jaster--Very good, many servers, veteran, close to best.
Fly--Hardly.
Person Man--Mantis had to guide him through everything.
Stryder--Good player, nice, fair.
Sturm--Not even close.
Now Cham, you actually think you could kill Tilurs character?
He completely owned Steel Tide with his level 80 (roughly).
He was a macer, unspecialized. Yet he still had the highest attack in the game at the time and the highests defences. The only people coming close him were Rosewing who used a fake credit card to get good, and Ursus who road *her* ass the whole time. If you played rpgwo when Tilur did you probably wouldn't have even made it to level 50. I'm sorry to say this but rpgwo gets easier and easier, Phobos was probably the easiest server ever. So none of the Phobos characters really count for anything. Corruption, and the ease of play ruins your characters suck. A level 20 on Luny would of been more impressive then all of your phobos characters.
You wanna know where Tilur is? Hes having a life. Hes the only one with the will to quit this game. It's an ADDICTION, and I admit it, I am addicted, I have tried breaking that addiction but I keep coming back. Props to whoever has quit this game. Major props. Tilur is never coming back. He is smart. No vets come back because the game is fading. It is full of corruption and has little to no skill involved in playing it anymore. Why play?
Now cham go back to playing your cheap ass servers like Shadow. Or you could always do us all a favor and tigering quit already. Or at least stop posting here. I assure you that 99% of the people on here hate you and 99% of the people on rpgwo hate you also. Die. Quit. Do something. Were tired of your bullwolf and your cocky ass attitude.

I once told Jon that I would make a server to decide once and for all who the best players are.
No NOTHING that can add a + to your stats, except for monster dropped items. +25 max for skills, too.
Red magic = Deleted
Blue magic = No more improves
Quanths, Quanthsars, Quanthsiths = Gone
Of course, then there could be a battle arena to decide who the current best on the server is.
Now THAT would be an interesting world.

hey Cham ur a dumbass do u not see in the corner under myname it says "username" then it says Hydroe or was that to complicated and yes cham u suck i played when tilur played but no one rembers me becuz i was a newb back then and only got to lvl 30. but in phobos i had 3 char above 40.... with no help!!! wow cham. and also i wasnt on 24/7 like u always were. now just do us all a favor fine a really tall building and jump off it

1 important question that i wish all the washed up hasbeens could never answer is if things are so easy now and yes i see alot of you on why do you not have like the best chars why arent you hasbeens running things??????

I probably missed some out but theres a leeway vet list.... now most of them are good, I didn't include the phobos playerbase because of "easy mode" but some players mentioned aren't so good.
But Axe and Jordan's points are valid as they will ever be, after all they have played since like the dawn of RPGWO time so they know who's good and who isn't. When they say Tilur is good, no-one is in any position to argue with them, they can try.... but their points of view are invalid compared to Axe and Jord's opinions.

wow all of u r kinda overreacting bout this...on jon's earlyer post and jasters post bout jon's post i agree....u cant totally tell who is the best player. Because you could go by, as jaster said, tradesman, fighter, best known, msot liked, nicest, ect.....i also feel that the only ppl you seem to be listing is the cocky bastards form Phobos....their have been many of good ppl on ST also ect. no1 has listed dravien yet who ended ST #1....i have had numerous char. that would pwn joo all...i am currently lvl 61 on shadow, which i got in 3 weeks...and i havnt trainded at all in 1 month....overall i think jast should get it...and you should realise who should be called a vet. Me and jast, as well as others, have been around since the begining of this game. i feel appauled to not be on the vet list. i was on the top 5 for world 1, then lib 1 n 2 i was in mid 40's not really playign much, didnt play ST 1, and ended with a lvl 61 mage on ST 2 AFTER being banned for the last 5 months of the server, as well as nto training cuz it gets hella boring....think of priorities of what the player has done b4 u go for most popular.

@chrono, last i checked.. rin changed to Lord Seifer last I checked.. got around level 30 i think before st wiped and changed to nulona... might still be playin nulona, dunno.. of all the time I saw him play, he never really did any good..

Hummmm best i'd say deffently jj, molo, manty, cham, simmie, jaster. There attacks and/or def's were amazing I'd like to see u reach lvl 104 or attack at 1300 or missle defs trainded like crazy. :tongue:

now.. tilur WAS a badass, so dont get me wrong. if he'd stand up to any of these recent good players will never be distinguished, but currently, he woulndt, not cuz they got to level 104, but just cuz he goten older and is in college now = no time to play.

Cham, you play Shadow because its the only place you have even a chance at killing/hurting anybody, in real life, numerous times have you been beaten up in real life, you now have a "girl"friend, also known as icequeen, she's a noob at the game, she's a 50 year old virgin, and she only wants you because she reminds you of her grandson, your no "pro" Cham play Nulona, try from day #1, rather than coming towards the end and begging for good stuff, in this vote, your name should only be mentioned as "my bitch" such as

Pardon me mis Jasta, I was playing for a year, maybe two when you even came rolling around with Ember. Then you made friends with UT, and well who knows what went on there(I'm not accusing, just...nevermind). I've been here since July '01, but I downloaded and opened the game for about five minutes in December of '00(also I think that was like two months after it first came out), hated the graphics, and left it on my desktop, to find it again in the summer. I got addicted since then and am still around for this year.
Now, T2D, did you play Korelith? Cause you happen to have left that one out in your post, but anyway, I agree with Cham in some..sort..of...way..oh my god I just agreed with Cham.. Anyhoot, RPGWO is incredibly too easy right now, which gives the "hasbeens" all the more reason NOT to come back, I absolutely hate the idea of any jewels and/or ultima potions.
This post has me wanting the original Deimos to come up and for Cham to play it, then watch him go crying to his mom..err Icequeen, when he gets owned by the people he called "hasbeens".

Alright this a toughie with the best player ever... When I first started to play I learned from a dear friend of mine Battousai.. Then I learned from other good/great players in my opinion Simmy, Stryder, Pmy and Mantis.. I wont pick myself because im not that kind of person and I dont think i am the best player ever either.. Now back with the best I have to go with Simmy he just impressed me how he trained with notting and level so fast... I think he couldve passed Manty if he didnt get bored with rpgwo and with going in the service...

Jordonias I do have to agree with you... Rpgwo is an addiction I myself had to get away from it... The corruption and the cheating pulled me away from it.... Now im on CO dont have to put up with the bullwolf... I know i forgot to mention some of the other greats im just too lazy to list them.. Time to go to bed.. LOL

I, after all of this bull wolf you all have rambled on about, have to agree with EVERYTHING jaster is syaing. And as well i was not allways Time2Die. I started in the begining of December '00, when they just added atacking and you had a chest spot a weapon spot and a shield. I was one of the people to even sudgest adding jools to the game on World 1. But all in all, jaster is right on all levels. If you think you are good, come play and show it. I myself, get to about lvl 60ish, then get bored as fook. So i see no point in rambling on about "i pwn j00" n wolf. The game has too many overpowering any many levels, it needs "evening" out on all weapons. How high your attack is should also determine ur dmg, not just the weapon. Because you get one weapon, at lvl 25 thatb takes 500 to use, and then your set for the resy of your days. And thats especially concered on Shadow. Demon blows ass on their because its non repairable. Their is 3 good weapons for demon, Dagger-Claw-Axe. And if you hadnt noticed their is an exceptional amount of axe's, dagger's, crossbow's, and bow's. But none of the other skills. Like i said, jast is right. And the game is going to hell - It's Boring, Easy, Char Attack. Overpowered/Underpowered depending on weapon, Ect. I think it should be, if your a tradeskiller, you shouldnt be able to train any attacks (but mayb defs), if ur a fighter you can only train 1 fighting attack BUT u can magics except black and you cant get any trade skills, and if ur a mage you can't get any attack's except Black and no tradeskills. Why i think this is because after a while, you dont need those lil trade skillers no more. Because u can do it urself. Which takes the RPG out of it. Well im outty...pce

They need to tie in some way, the higher your weapon skill, it should increase your dmg in a minute amount so that a lvl 25 cant hit for the same dmg as a lvl 60....
But then again, we need Mick to get off his lazy ass and Start Coding....Which we all know Will not happen.

T2D, I understand completely where you're coming from. We(myself/Grinch/Jord) planned on adding either level requirements to certain weapons, but that would involve Mick coding, and as Jeroy said I believe, it isn't going to happen.
Mick if you read this, let Jaster and Jon buy the game from you, kiss it goodbye, go onto Galatic Venture, hire some programmers and artists to help you out, spend some time on that, sell that for $10K+, move on to another game.
Stop holding onto one thing, it just gets old for awhile.

well on the crap about all of u nto ebign able to do certain things cuz u need hard coding done...i can do hard coding..not as wel as some ppl but im pretty good with VB 6..and im sure their are a bunch of other people who could do it to, im sure micks dumbass left comments all over the place for himself..so sotp with the excuses...if u get the server code..some1 who knows VB 6 enoughc ould change it round...

hmmm the best player...wow..I'm digging up old topics...well..I was searching and found this...so yeah..the best players who I've ever encountered are shaolin, tilur, tonga and ursus (yeah, I know, sad).
But I'll have to go for tonga. He plays so well, you didn't realise he was there half the time, he didn't join a guild and made all his money from traders. He didn't seem to socailise at all he's just always been there though..
Second best is of course Rog! I couldn't find anyone with more PKs in Steeltide.
I remember owning mantis on phobos once. It was when he and I were quite new. We used to train together. We got to about level 10 in a month or something, and one day, when we were training against ourselves, because there were no quests or anything for us, like now, in the easy days, I killed him lol.

Tonga was a pretty cool I guy. I suppose my vote would go to him.
I started playing RPGWO a long time ago. I originally began as a tradesman as well. Tilur is a very versatile character though. When he played he owned everyone. My first memory of him would be me in stealth mode, while he was trading a trivia token to someone, back when secure trading didnt exist. I ran up and stole the token, haha.
Anyways, my first good fighter character was probably on that Phobos. That was when I met up with Tilur, had like 600 blacksmithing and made him some damon, we fell in love after that, and the rest, as they say, is history. We started new guys when ST came up and we owned that for a while, then I got bored and quit.
I am pretty busy with dance and stuff now, so yeah, I dont play as often. Tilur is also busy with school.
I know where Urik is his location is no unknown.

Jords just angry because Ershin was better than he was. Ershin was going to kick Jord out of PYR8 but Jord quit because he was already wounded. Ershin was a good player, but unlike "Most" of us on these forums he's gone onto better things and got a life.

Jords just angry because Ershin was better than he was. Ershin was going to kick Jord out of PYR8 but Jord quit because he was already wounded. Ershin was a good player, but unlike "Most" of us on these forums he's gone onto better things and got a life.

Its funny how I've been friends with alot of people on one char, and enemies on another. Mantis and me actually used to train on snow drakes and etc together on Phobos, and yes I remember how vex was that damn firestorming mage back then. Ershin, I've known him. Tilur, (I knew him for brief time, till he decided my damon was worth more than my life even though I helped him a small amount. I've been friends with Cham once. Friends with alot of you probably, and then enemy on the next. Sorry Bob for bumping topics heh.

Best player I think is Zaliron... When not 1 person on the whole server (Correct me if I'm wrong) can hit you. You are pretty good. I know I've had it where no mage or meleer could hit me (Nulona I think?), but missile def has always been my weakness.
And I've always loved Raghnall (God damn I can't spell) who was a pretty good friend of Tilurs.
Of course Tilur did teach these two how to play, so maybe in the end Tilur is the best?
And Til's way of setting up a macer pwns, and I think I will do that sometime

Gimpy asked me for items once on Kirin, and he was fairly cool about it.
Later on he swung at me for stupid reasons, but I don't really recall him 'mooching' off anyone on Kirin. It's not my place to say that he never 'mooched', because I only played with him on Kirin.

Tilur and Tonga, I split my vote. Cham imo USED to be kinda cool but he went to the wolfter and became a hawk. There was one guy ( I forget name) He didnt use any boosts, pots, or jewls and he was like lvl 60+, thats skill.

No.. that was on ST, quinns guild all claimed plots in the same area therefore calling it their castle, and now apparently it's called quinnsters home. Shrug. Gurubob was a good trader but several people have since then done better.

These are the kind of people who i really like and really have skill those who don't rely on boosts, pots or jools and have alot of patience.
Unlike certain other noobie people who used to be cool and pretend to be gangsters and like to brag and use ultimate pots, jools, custom weapons and boosts.

@chrono, last i checked.. rin changed to Lord Seifer last I checked.. got around level 30 i think before st wiped and changed to nulona... might still be playin nulona, dunno.. of all the time I saw him play, he never really did any good..

Axe and I basically led the war on TDK back in the day after Tilur retired. Honestly on ST I think I died in PvP less than 20 times.

As of right now I can confirm I got a life.

I'd give it to Tilur for most of Phobos's lifespan till he quit and then I'd give it to Stryder, Personman and Simmias for their hella crazy 1000 defs in the mid 40 levels... after Phobos turned into Shadow... Cham and Mantis, after that... I don't think anyone was able to stand up to their standards.
