Two simple Ideas on one page that will help the Role Playing World (Online) to be a better place. These ideas are short, simple, and to the point, and they are: More sounds everywhere, and better lighting effects.

The worlds of RPGWO are pretty empty when it comes to sound... Sure, you can hear the rare Clanging on an anvil, or the sound of a shotgun to someones face, or even the *Tink* of someone mining underground. And once you experience night, the crickets go on 24/7 on the game. This is the best we have for background noise. I play Gorillaz in the background, but RPGWO should have it's own music, or at least sounds. The simple suggestion to the game is: More sounds. From Birds chirping in nearby trees to the bubbling of a waterfall to the footsteps a player takes. We need more Ambient noises in the game. Approach a waterfall and the noise gets louder. Hear the crackling of a fire, and birds chirping in trees. This adds a new dimension to the game and makes it a little more user-friendly to hear noises you'd expect. Have sounds for whatever you do, from failing to construct something out of metal (which could be an off-key *Ping* noise compared to the usual *Twang*) to crushing coal with your mortar and pestle. Adding more sounds makes the world more colorful, and in the end a happier place.

The main looks of lighting is fine in RPGWO, it is just how light is cast. When a blazing Brazier is in the next room, your world is in darkness, you can't see a thing. But when you can see it, you can see all the light it gives, reflecting off walls into your eyes. The suggestion he is show lightened squares, even when you cannot see the source. By doing this, you can light an entire house without having a light source in every room. You can know that someone is approaching you without having to use scan, or a bright, bright light appearing out of nowhere. Light up the Darkness.

I believe, with these two relatively  simple suggestions, you can give RPGWO a new, more colorful dimension and expect new players to keep coming back. If a friend hadn't recommended it  so strongly, I would have stopped playing after trying it. I didn't, but always wanted to hear someone approaching, and see the light cast by their torch, and now I can strongly suggest these to strengthen the hold on RPGWO's players/

Sorry if I over complicated it, my school's brain control aka essay class kicked in. Basically, more diverse sounds everywhere, and you can see lighted areas, even if you cannot see the source...

Like when a light is on in another room, light still goes into yours. the light is on the ground.

The sounds is basically sounds for most if not all the things you do, even failings. and ambient sounds like birds in the trees and hearing a river a distance away. Sorry if I over complicated it....

I really like the idea of new sounds.
The constant cricketing got old after about 10 minutes, let alone 4 years of playing this game.

This would work wonders on Arcanium, neons for example. Can you imagine that? A UT statue with neons

The fact we can turn the sounds off helps, You can then play you're own music in the background or w/e , If you play a game for the sounds, GTFO
